Verizon sold out to Frontier, so I had no choice being switched to Frontier. Called Frontier, asked cost of phone plan and dsl internet. Two sales reps, Tammy and Kenny, said current special for both cost $61.98/mth, approx". total with taxes about $74/mth/. I agreed to take both..

I asked several times if there were any other charges, they both said no/. They switched me over to a non-Frontier contract vender to verify acceptance of phone and dsl internet service, I agreed to accept'. Once, you accept, they got you committed to a one year contract and you pay stiff penalty to cancel!. Of course, it's not till after your suckered into the program, that you find out you've been lied to about the monthly costs and they begin to rape your wallet!.

Suddenly, many customer service phone calls later, I find out my total monthly bill won't be $74;.00, it is over $90.00. The cost of phone and dsl is not $61.98 as quoted, it is $71.98. Oh, but wait, the dsl internet requires a modem at an additional hidden charge of $4.50/month plus tax.

Now we're up to $76.98/month before taxes. Taxes & other charges end up being $13.83/month, for a total bill of $90.31. Ends up being $16.31 more than what, both, Tammy and Kenny said I would pay. When I asked if I could use my own modem and avoid the modem rental, a customer service rep said yes, but we still charge the monthly modem rental fee.

I had problems receiving a fax, which turned out to be a Frontier voicemail ring conflict. Asked how to solve, they suggested a distinctive ring, which the customer rep said she could add. I told her to add, so she set up the order, after which she said it would cost an additional $4.65/mth plus taxes. She didn't mention any charge until after the order was placed, so I told her to cancel the order.

Conclusion, once they lie and sucker you in, they take you to the cleaners. Overall experience showed that customer service reps rarely quoted accurate prices and they hid other charges. Doesn't appear to be an honest company. 127e05d

I HATE Frontier. After communicating with them via email regarding a Verizon conversion to Frontier issue I was always redirected to their basic Customer Service Unit which had not been helpful in the first place! Not to mention being placed in que for 45 mintutes....

Then stated I would report them to my State's Telecommunication Dept. they stopped contacting me.... lol

Terrible Service
