Frontier Communications - Internet Service Review from Germantown, Tennessee

While visiting my mom and disabled step dad, a call was made to Frontier about snail slow speed using their service. First call, stepdad was told someone would be out to replace the modem the next day between 4:00 and 5:00 p.m on 6/1/15. The next day at 5:30, stepdad called to find out when they would be arriving and was told his ticket had been closed and only if the modem wasn't working would it be replaced. Whoever was working the phones (they forgot to get a name) talked down to them and had a nasty attitude. I've worked at an IT help desk and am appalled that they were treated in such a manner!! Needless to say, stepdad is getting a different provider. Frontier needs to school their customer service reps on REAL customer service protocol.

Details
Had an awful and disappointing experience with frontier. We had our service for 7 days. Found out that frontier was not able to meet our speed requirements for our business. For this reason we had to cancel our service and was sent a bill for $400. I understand some charges for installation and the 7 days of service however $400 is excessive. They even took away our discounted rate we were told we were given when we set up the service. Have called to discuss with absolutely no help. Would not recommend frontier service to anyone. It appears that care more about making money than customer service.

Frontier Communications in Libby, Montana - Mistakes and poor technical support

Details
I needed internet for work. Frontier is the only game in town. I called them and they said they had capped DSL and my only option was satellite. The satellite cost 4 times as much and never worked for my job. When I would call for tech support they would only say the speed is fine. I called and cancelled the internet and they cancelled my phone service as well. I ad to call to get it restarted and was told that I needed to call and reset up everything else: bill pay, etc. I would change services so quick if I had any other choice.

Frontier Communications - Refund Policy Review

Month after month, this so-called company has lead me around like a trained circus poodle, telling me lie after lie. I disconnected my service March 4th - they owe me a refund which I have yet to receive. They have sent me 4 bills, 3 stating a credit balance. If they can generate these bills, why not a check. What are they waiting for??? To list their "excuses" would take pages - suffice it to say, they stated the FCC was the cause of this 90 day wait. Today I was once again told my refund "is in the process"!!!!! They would not or could not give me a date when the check would be cut. According to my sources, there is NO FCC mandate that is the cause of them REFUSING to send my refund. I researched this company, and have found a lot of disatisfied consumers. Do you think they would wait 90 days for you to pay your bill before turning off your service??? FRONTIER COMMUNICATIONS HAS HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE & HANGS ONTO ANY MONIES THEY OWE YOU COLLECTING INTEREST WHILE YOU WAIT, WAIT, AND WAIT SOME MORE BLAMING ANOTHER ENTITY FOR THEIR INCOMPETENCE.

They are completely an awful company. Since the takeover from AT&T I have been having nothing but pure ***. We have a bad lightening storm and the Modem konks out. Mind you the modem is not even 6 months old and suppose to be a new one.

Frontier Communications in Horton, Michigan - Poor Service, High Cost, Cancellation Fee's

I have had Frontier for years and have seen the poor service and fee's do nothing but rise. About a year ago I was contacted about locking into a contract for land service business phone. I replied I was not interested do to the poor internet service. One month later I called due to the poor internet connection and was told it would be after the first of the year before they would be doing anything to correct it. The person on the line said he could get me a discount for the problems it was $25 per month, one month later my bill went up 60%. When I called they said the increase was because I was not under contract and that if I went under contract they would reduce the cost. In response I added internet to my residential phone and ported my business phone number to a mobile phone canceling my service with Frontier. Frontier then sent me a bill for $798 for early termination, threatening to turn me in to collection if I did not pay. Even though I had not entered into a contract for service they believed since they gave me a discount I had agreed to service. After 5 months and 20 phone calls I finally settle on paying them the $25 per month discount they gave me for poor service back. The repairs they said were coming have not happened yet, I guess that was a lie too.

Frontier Communications are a fraudulent company that lies to their customers.

They promised 6m on their website, I found out my line was provisioned for 3m. The area I am in is congested, yet they have scheduled no relief. And they keep adding new customers without concern for the internet speeds of their existing customers. This company is filled with liars and scammers. Frontier Communications has done NOTHING to fix the problem, outside of lip service when I call them. In addition, what little internet I do have is constantly going down. There is no way I would ever recommend ANYONE buy service from Frontier Internet. They are the WORST. Period.

Frontier Communications in Durham, North Carolina - Horrible product, service and customer relations

A few years ago frontier comm purchased the land line phone service from verizon in macon county, north carolina. The quality of service got worse overnight. I was paying full price for a service i could not use. Static in my phone landline. Several times i would call it in. They would "fix" it, then the problem would persist every time it would rain, and sometimes just at random. After so many complaints, trying to cancel my service, etc...i eventually just stopped paying them. I was not getting the service i was paying for. It took frontier several months to realize that i had not paid my bill. I told them they would not get one red penny from me until they made this right with me. They never did. Now, they put a bad mark on my credit report, all because i did not continue paying for an unusable service. A world class organization this frontier is!
