Hello PissedConsumer1736653, We would not refuse a transfer of a phone number with out cause. For example one common reason why a number may not be ported over, is if there is a PLOC freeze (Primary Local Exchange Carrier freeze) on your account, which is a security feature.

If you end service prior to the end of the billing cycle you still will have to pay for the entire month. There is no pro-ration coming back to you.

I ended service and was still charged $6.08 for something their customer service could not explain.

The stock of Frontier Communications is trading at $0.58. the stock market is telling you they are going out of business or going bankrupt.
