I was supposed to have telephone service installed today because I need a landline for work. I was told that the appointment was between 8am and 5pm and an adult had to be present. Because I talk inbound calls all day, I had to take the day off to ensure I would be available when needed. No one ever called. No one ever knocked on my door to let me know anything. After 5pm, I tried calling the new number and it rings. I plug in my phone...dead...

I called last Friday to add a landline to my existing FIOS.I spoke to someone who gave me an option for FIOS + Landline and another option for FIOS + Landline + basic cable. When I called back to go ahead with FIOS + Landline, I spoke to another rep who said I could get both services for what I was currently paying. As we were talking their line abruptly clicked over and the original rep got on the line and said no, that price was not available...
