FCC we and MANY others need your help. Ive just finished reading complaints and reviews and am in tears.

Im not by far the first you have heard from regarding this SAME issues and complaint. There are MANY. Something HAS to be done PLEASE??!!

This is America, and a company with a monopoly should not be allowed to profit from this kind of thing. FCC is so posed to defend and protect consumers from these kind of scams and deceit.

Frontier Communications - No Cable for over a week because I moved

I have never dealt with such unorganized, HORRIBLE customer service. I called 1 week prior to me moving to let them know i was changing addresses and what i would need to do to get my cable working at the new address. they told me I would have no problems, they could transfer my address right over the phone, and by the time i moved in I would plug my boxes in and all should work. well they were very very wrong. Not only did they not transfer my address over the phone, they said they had no record of me changing the address and that I would need someone to actually come there and set up my cable. they said they did not know why someone told me they could do it over the phone because apparently that isn't possible. they apologized for the inconvenience and told me i had someone coming to my house the next day. the next day comes and no one shows up. I call again (another 1.5 hour phone call) and they said there was no order ticket and there was never anyone coming to my house. they apologized again and also said my address was still not transfers to the correct address. I got no where with that phone call, i eventually had to hang up because i had a 2 hour conversation that got me no where. I called again Monday morning (again another hour long phone call) they apologize for the inconvenience and come to find out the cable boxes that i had were "grandfathered" boxes. as in, they are the old "frontier" boxes and i was never upgraded to the correct "vantage" boxes. so they were never going to work in the first place. (why did they not tell me my equipment was old when i called a week before i even moved? this would have all been avoided if i new i was going to need new boxes and someone to come and physically transfer my address) again they told me when someone comes to me house they will have all the correct boxes to give me and they would be here by the end of the week. well, by the end of the week no one showed up again. by this time I've already spend hours on the phone getting now where, with no help from any of the customer service reps, basically getting lied to by them, telling me what i want to hear. and luckily I checked by mail at my old address, because there were several boxes from Vantage on the front step of my OLD house. they sent all the new "vantage" boxes to my old address, even after they told me I would need someone to come and set it up. So i had to bring all the new boxes to my new house. I called again on friday (by this time its been a week without cable) they told me they would try to expedite my service order, but they never happened. they finally confirmed they had an appointment for me monday 8-5 (a 9 hour window which is completely unheard of) surprisingly they showed up and finally set up my cable. If i didn't like my package so much they i would have dropped vantage a week ago. but i thought it was unfair that i would not have to go out of my way, find a new cable company that had a similar package, return the frontier boxes and then i would have to start all over with a new company, all because frontier has HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE? I was patient and my cable was finally set up but no one should have to go through what i went through. it is not right to lie and tell client what they want to hear. I am appalled that they were able to get away with this and i am sure i am not the only one.

Details
Called to transfer our internet service and was given an 8 hr window. Waited 10 and nobody ever showed up. Not even a courtesy call letting us know they were unable to make the appointment. We called to cancel service (waited on hold for 30 minutes) they say it will be 24 hrs to cancel the transfer of service and then we have to call back again cancel service.
