I live in a neighborhood with homes $300 - $500,000 in value.

Many of these people have home offices, multiple web enabled tv's, pads, phones, etc.

We get a guarantee of 3 mbps from Frontier, yep you got it 3 mbps for $30/month.

My son gets 12 mbps from TDS for the same price.

Worse yet is that I have never actually realized 3 mbps. At best I've gotten 2 but most evenings when we want to stream a Netflix movie we get less than 1 mbps.

I want to scream yet we are held hostage by a company that could care less. Our entire neighborhood is trying to get a local firm to bring in fiber optics to the home but that is pricy. Frontier, why won't you upgrade our service or set us free?

This is a lot of nonsense about Frontier increasing its network capability in Lafayette, IN by Q1 2013. I can assure you that based on my own and others experience in this area, the guaranteed 3 mbps actually translates into less than 1 mbps most evenings. Calling technical support yields nonsensical responses, and never they never admit they haven't built out the system to deal with the congestion.

We live in Angola Indiana and had some of the same problems with Frontier speeds last Fall. When I talked with someone from the company, they said that they were working on many upgrades and that we would be back to good speeds soon.

By thanksgiving weekend, we had great service again and I haven't had any issues since. So, I think Frontier really does listen to customer needs and do their best to fix them!

Frontier is constantly investing in its network to accomodate the bandwidth needs of customers. While the rapid growth of video usage over the internet and increased speed expectations by the consumer have put pressure on companies like Frontier, Frontier is rapidly increasing the capacity of its network to meet these expectations.

Frontier plans to increase its regional and local network in the Lafayette, Indiana area by the end of Q1, 2013 to allow for greater bandwidth that will allow for more stable and reliable speeds.
