For many years now, after heavy rainfall landline sound quality becomes static and then eventually there is no dial tone. They send someone to fix it, usually within a few days, but then the same situation reoccurs after the next heavy rainfall.
This time it happened on Christmas day and the company was informed promptly. Repair was scheduled by January 4th, but that has not happened yet. Nobody seems to know what the problem is.
We live in the country and my neighbor's line belongs to another company, so I'm probably the last number in that vicinity that belongs to Frontier. It seems the problem is "patched" rather than solved.
