Frontier Communications - SLOOOOOOOW internet speeds...crap service
Just got on the phone today with a service agent over my extremely slow internet speeds. I am paying for 150mbps so I should be getting close to that and am getting average download speeds of 25mbps and average upload 65mbps.
The guy on the other end was actually reasonably easy to communicate with, however, we were on the phone for almost an hour going through various troubleshooting steps and eliminating anything in the chain that could have been slowing it down. All the way to disconnecting the battery backup that supplies power to the connection box outside. Then I got disconnected from the phone call with the tech support agent about an hour in. I waited 15 minutes and received no call back even though I gave him my number to call back in the beginning of the conversation in case of such a disconnection.
Nothing solved the problem.
I'm convinced that I'm going to have to gripe farther up the chain to get someone to come out and look at this equipment. Meanwhile I'm still paying for top grade internet connection that I'm not getting.
Reason of review: Not as described/ advertised.
Monetary Loss: $50.
Frontier Communications Pros: Service agent was friendly but unable to solve the issue, Reasonable price.
Frontier Communications Cons: Slow internet speeds, Phone menu is a headache.
