Like thousands of people, once Frontier took over the FIOS network, I thought I had been dropped into bundle ***. Initially, it was all kinds of technical issues. No dial tone on the home phone, TV suddenly blacking out, etc. Every time we called Frontier for service, we had to count on at lease a half hour hold. FRONTIER... WE DON'T EVEN SPEAK THIS NAME IN OUR HOUSE.. THE NAMES BRINGS UP SO MUCH FRUSTRATION... THEY OVERBILLED.. TRIPLE BILLED US... ON AND ON.. HUNDREDS OF HOURS ON CHAT AND ON THE PHONE...WE CANCELLED OUR SERVICE.. AND YET TO RECEIVE THE CLOSE TO ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS THEY OWE US... Much to my dismay, I found out that Verizon pulled a "fast one" by notifying me that they had transferred my triple bundle premium package and fax number to Frontier communications. It has been a disaster since the beginning. Double billing, Outage on the fax machine from July 28-Sept 9th. Internet was "down" and no landline phone service for over 2 weeks. My 95 year old Mother was switched from a VZ landline to VoIP digital voice without her knowledge or permission. Then Frontier purchased the VZ service in Florida. At that point, her outgoing Caller ID changed to a different person's name - that person lives in NY. I signed with Frontier communicating with the promise of better service and pricing than Time Warner. Sales rep, Mike, who said I would get 30 days free and pay only $80 for installation. However, to my surprise my very first bill was over $500. The installation took 8 hours and my service was inoperable the day of installation up until the following Monday. After 57 minutes on hold I found that I had been routed to billing even though I had pushed the appropriate buttons for technical support. Once we cleared that up, I was transferred to another on hold line. The automated system indicated that I was in for another 25 minute wait although I could schedule a call back by pressing the one key. Husband has all the details. In a nutshell...a big nutshell, we want to get away from Frontier and the bad service so we have found alternatives for TV and have disconnected our land line. We kept internet and increased the speed however, they switched the entire service off leaving us with no internet for 5 or more days so far. I've had it with Frontier, every since they took over from Fios my bill has been wrong and went from the contracted amount of $144.00/mth to $180.00/mth. I have a copy of my contract with Verizon and still these people can't get it right. Ever since Frontier took over Verizon FIOS, I have had difficulty with customer service. If I chat online, I'm disconnected. If I call, I hold forever and then the call is dropped. I recently switched to Extreme HD and was told my bill would be $5.00 extra each month. The first bill comes and it is $60.00 more. I am sooooo upset with frontier. I was a previous Verizon fios customer and every single review about frontier is absolutely true. They are nothing but liars, they have the worst customer service reps EVER and give out false information to get you to stay...
