Frontier Communications in Allen, Texas - Payment for services not being used

We are moving from our home in Keller, TX and called to disconnect our cable and internet service Aug. 10th. We were informed that we would continue to be billed until the end of the month 8/31, even though we will have vacated the address and will not be using the cable or the internet service. We would be paying for services we aren't using? Why isn't there a prorate for disconnecting? In addition... we need to return the cable boxes which they provide return boxes BUT they won't do that until the service has been cut off meaning until 8/31. We are moving out of state. This doesn't make sense to me at all and is unacceptable. Desired outcome is to allow us to stop paying for the services we want to discontinue on 8/10 instead of 8/31 and provide us the boxes needed to return the equipment before we leave the state on 8/11.

Frontier Communications in Allen, Texas - Still charging for service after we terminated.

Details
The transition from Fios to Frontier in the Dallas Ft Worth area was sloppy, yet we were patient. Channels of packages we had signed up for with Fios appeared and disappeared and reappeared. All of our purchases, movies, vanished. No explanation other than the "Thank your for your patience, we are experiencing ... whatever". We received a letter from Frontier that the probation period for non paid bills will be ending June 2015. Collection or termination will be take place. We jumped ahead of the deadline and switched providers. Called Frontier to notify them of our no longer in need of their service. We signed up for Fios, not Frontier. Paid up to May 2015, termination was to take place June 2015. We received a bill for over $2000 in services. When confronted they told us the service was terminated, disconnected in October 2015. I did not ask for a refund for the channels I did not get while the transition was taking place, i will not pay what they claim I owe them

You have to ask for a FIOS Digital Voice tech person, then tell that person to get with an old Verizon employee to figure out why wake-up calls intermittently fail. Then a few weeks later, it does it again.

Since that's the only reason my wife keeps a landline. .

Frontier Communications in Richardson, Texas - Service is completly out and technician is 4 days out

Our Frontier FIOS Cable, Internet and Telephone is completely out and when I called technical support yesterday, I was told there was a break in the line and that it will be 4 days before they can get someone out to find and correct the issue. We have put up with the increasing cost, reduction in channels, aging equipment and poor technical phone service since Frontier took over our Verizon account, but this is the straw that broke the camels back. Verizon was pretty fair, accommodating and efficient; Frontier is just the opposite. to me, 4 days is not an acceptable time frame when the entire system is down. They need to hire more staff if they cant support their customer base. Looking for a new service provider after 14 years with the FIOs system.

FRONTIER... WE DON'T EVEN SPEAK THIS NAME IN OUR HOUSE.. THE NAMES BRINGS UP SO MUCH FRUSTRATION... THEY OVERBILLED.. TRIPLE BILLED US... ON AND ON.. HUNDREDS OF HOURS ON CHAT AND ON THE PHONE...WE CANCELLED OUR SERVICE.. AND YET TO RECEIVE THE CLOSE TO ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS THEY OWE US... STARTED A COMPLAINT WITH THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND CRICKETS THERE.... STARTED A COMPLAINT WITH THE FCC AND TOOK A WHILE INCLUDING AN EXTENSION THE F-TIER FILED WITH THE FCC AND F-TIER UPDATED OUR ACCOUNT TO SHOW THAT WE WILL GET THE REFUND. PROBLEM IS THEY HAVE SOME TYPE OF "RULE" THAT THAT MONEY CAN NOT BE RELEASED FOR THREE MONTHS??? VERY VERY LONG STORY WRITTEN AS SHORT AS POSSIBLE. SIX MONTHS OF FRUSTRATION LATER AND NO CHECK. I'm in California and have the same problem. Four months ago my monthly charge was $148.

Each month it went higher until it reached $300 and I called to cancel. They promised to lower it to $155 with free HBO for 6 months. The next month HBO was on my bill and my bill was $283 and they were charging me for HBO. Called and complained about that.

Going to call and get Spectrum and have 2 internets until I get all my business's and friends notified of the change. I figure it will take me a month for that including my home camera system. I was with Verizon for 10 years and never made a complaint.

With Frontier I've called at least 10 times already. Worse provider ever.
